A simple way to live each day OnPrpose
Remember when you were a kid and you built a fort, painted a picture, or made a Lego castle and you were so excited to show someone your masterpiece?
It didn’t matter that no one else could tell what you painted, or that the fort was really just a heap of blankets.
You made it.
It made your day. And you couldn’t wait to share it.
That happened to me this week.
It was Monday morning. It started like most Mondays: walking the dogs.
But this Monday I could feel the shift from Sunday vibes — low gear, family time, football, to “holy $%@#, buckle up… you’ve got goals this week.”
Sometimes that transition feels like clowns tumbling out of a tiny circus car. And sometimes it feels like… what’s that slow-moving animal?
A sloth rolling over in slow motion trying to start its engine.
This week, I was the sloth with circus-clown goals.
So on my walk, I started a conversation with ChatGPT. My ChatGPT sounds like a brilliant British woman. We work together a LOT. She knows a ton about me including how much time I’ve spent thinking about living with intention every day.
I believe no matter what happens, we always have a choice in how we show up.
So I asked her for a few prompts to bring me back to who I am at my best. For me, it’s a simple identity statement, the version of me that’s fully dialled in:
I’m a vibrant force of energy and insight, fueling my mind, body, and spirit to live with purpose and joy.
That sentence pulls me back into alignment. It reminds me who I want to be on good days and bad – especially the hard days!
Me and Vera (that’s what I call her) …we went on to explore what a day at my best looks like. We talked about what I believe, what matters to me, and the guiding principles I want to live by.
And together, we created a blueprint – short, sweet, and energizing. It’s a simple story about who I am at my best and how I want to move through the world. It gives me a place to return to anytime I want to reconnect with my intention.
And that’s when I had one of the best ideas I’ve ever had.
Or at least the best one I can remember.
I turned it into a GPT. A tool that helps you create your own daily blueprint through a series of thoughtful questions, and then helps you return to it every morning as a reminder of how you want to live.
A simple way to start each day OnPrpose!
And here it is… for you to try.

Things worth noting:
- I’m no pro. I built it. I tested it tons of times, but if you find a glitch or two, remember those ugly drawings your mom loved anyway? Maybe some of that energy here?
- Not everyone uses ChatGPT. We also have instructions for you to create your own in your very own AI platform of choice.
- Prefer to kick it Old School? We have a worksheet you can download to make your own. Feel free to use pencil crayons and finger paint. It’s yours to love.
I can tell you, this week has been better than average for me and the only real difference is this level of intention each morning.
Research proves when you start each day clear about your values and guiding principles, you are much more likely to follow through on the goals and habits you set for yourself.
Clarity creates momentum. And when you choose your intention for the day, you shape the story you walk into. One choice leads to another, and before long, the day reflects the person you want to be. This is the heart of leadership and the heart of storytelling. You decide the story, then you live it.
I hope it makes your week as good as it made mine. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts.

At OnPrpose, we help leaders and teams believe again. We do it by telling better stories. And the most important story is the one you tell yourself. My Life OnPrpose™ is the story of how you want to be. And it’s the best starting point.
Each morning gives you a new page to work with. When you choose your story first, the rest of the day rises to meet it. That’s the power of intention. And that’s the heart of living OnPrpose.
